Technological Advancement In Education. â€Å"Education is evolving due to the impact of Internet. We cannot teach our students in the same manner in which we are taught† –April Chamberlain. In the present generation, the technology available in comparison to the technology preceding this generation is great and powerful. It has changed tremendously in globalized system. Technology advancement made in education has made student to access stored information because of these development, it is easy to get by without learning and on the other, learning is more efficient and attainable. A survey in 2007 by the National Centre for Education Statistics (NCES) showed that 97% of classroom in the U.S.A had access to computer (Fast Facts).. With technology development, both teachers and students can access data in a simple form compared with educational system of 30 – 40 years back. The impact of globalization in education is undergoing constant changes under the effects of globalized system. The effect of globalization on education bring rapid developments in technology are foreseeing changes within school systems across the world as ideas, values and acknowledge, changing the roles of student and teachers, and producing a shift in society from industrialization towards an information-based society.
